Westfall Middle School

Mr. Mathewson’s 8th-grade social studies classes welcomed a special guest today—Kevin Driesbach, President of the Camp Charlotte Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution. Mr. Driesbach shared the mission of the organization, which honors Revolutionary War patriots by promoting patriotism, serving communities, and inspiring future generations through education about the nation’s founding principles.

Students had the opportunity to see authentic uniforms and gear up close, bringing history to life in the classroom. It offered a glimpse into our country’s early stories while connecting the experiences of patriots to our Pickaway County community. Thank you, Mr. Driesbach, for sharing your knowledge with us!

Our seventh-graders will participate in a COSI-led workforce development program, COSI Roadshow, on Monday, December 15.

During this two-hour experience, students will meet local businesses, explore careers in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math) and related fields using VR headsets, and participate in hands-on activities. We're looking forward to this exciting and unique experience for our students!

The WHS Drama Class is excited to present "Closed for the Holidays," a comedy by Flip Kobler and Cindy Marcus.

The story follows a group of travelers stranded in a community center during a Christmas Eve blizzard. From a drama teacher with a bus full of students to a couple racing to get married and a sheriff trying to keep order, each character brings humor and heart to this serendipitous holiday adventure.

Performances will be held on December 20 at 7:00 PM and December 21 at 2:00 PM. Tickets are $5 each and on sale now at the link below or at the door. We hope you’ll join us for a festive and entertaining show!
